Tyler's new ride.

Here are the skateboarding pictures as promised. Tyler got to try out his new board briefly on Christmas morning before it started raining. It was warm and sunny the next day though, perfect skateboarding weather!

Trying on his new helmet.

Tony Hawk shirt + knee and elbow pads + helmet = ready to skateboard!

Getting a little help from daddy!

This is how we dressed to go outside the day after Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas! We had a fun day. Present opening didn't start until after 8:00 and took about 3 hours. Tyler would open a present and then want to play with his new toy right away. This worked to our advantage when the battery light on my mom's camera started blinking and I needed to empty my memory card (video takes up a lot of room!). We also took a break from opening presents to eat breakfast. It was so fun watching him open his presents, he would get so excited even if he didn't know what he had gotten. He'd say, "I got this!" He got some play-dough and thought it was paint, then guessed it was yogurt! So far the play-dough seems to be the biggest hit, he's played with it the most. Another big hit was the skateboard his uncles got him, I'm saving those pictures for the next post. Enjoy these for now!

Legos!

And more legos!

My surprise present...

...a bread maker! Thanks honey!!!

Riley in the 'Baby's 1st Christmas' outfit Deb got for Tyler. I thought it would be huge on Riley since Tyler was 9 months old when he wore it, but it fit pretty well. Riley must be bigger than Tyler was!
Opening his first Christmas present!

He got a book!

Pre-Christmas Fun

Before I get into my Christmas pictures here are some we took earlier this week that I wanted to share. When we got home from church on Sunday I took advantage of us all being dressed up and had a mini photo shoot in front of our Christmas tree.

On Monday we took the boys to the mall to see Santa and ride the train. I wasn't sure how it would go considering Tyler's reaction to both last year. Last year he was so excited to ride the train, then cried the whole way around. The train was suppose to go around a couple of times, but they stopped it when it came around the first time because he was so upset. Then after waiting in line for 20 minutes to get a picture with Santa he refused to even sit on his lap. Luckily this year his reaction was the exact opposite! He loved the train, which was great because he rode it while we waited in line to see Santa. He was so cute, he gave the lady his dollar and was the first one to board then proceeded to yell 'all aboard' while the other kids got on! He was really excited when he saw Santa. He ran right up and climbed onto his lap. Riley had been sleeping while we were in line and woke up just in time to sit with Santa.

Nursery Pictures

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of Riley's room! My friend, Nancy, made all the bedding, the curtains and the wall hanging. She did an amazing job! I knew she would, she is an incredibly talented seamstress (she made Terri's bridesmaid dress for my wedding as well)! Thanks Nancy!

Chunky Monkey!

Riley had his 4 month check up today. Here are his stats: 14 lbs 4 oz, 25 1/4 inches long. According to the growth chart he is short and fat! His umbilical hernia went away a couple of weeks ago and appears to be gone for good. Over all he's a healthy boy! Here are some pictures of my happy baby!

This is what a belly button is suppose to look like!

Look at those chubby legs!

He loves his new bumbo chair!
